Description
Inspired by traditional cement tile patterns, square or hexagonal, whose dominant colors were often shades of gray and brick.
At the very beginning of the twentieth century, CEMENTINE, along with terrazzo, experienced a period of immense success: since they were considered robust and economical, they were often used to cover service areas or even workspaces.
The composition could be based on the simple alternation of colors, but CEMENTINE also lent themselves to much more sophisticated decorative solutions, made with flowers, Greek keys, friezes, which interpreted the suggestions of the dominant LIBERTY and deco styles, or represented a fresh alternative to carpets, while still providing the same function of space delimitation and aesthetic strength. A revival that has become a "trend," once again reinterpreted on ceramic tiles with new stylistic and chromatic solutions.
